A Bright, Colourful Farm Wedding

Bride Harriet is a post-producer in Shoreditch and grooms Andy a VFX assistant. The couple chose 2nd September 2017 his her wedding date, saying their I Do’s in Oxfordshire, then a reception at in Horley. One thing the bride-to-be did know she wanted was an ethical wedding gown, which reduced her choices considerably if this came to dress shopping.

“It is at the last ten minutes of the fitting that through the elimination of what we liked and didn’t like concerning the dresses, she created the combination of skirt and top that became my wedding gown. It was perfect. A low back having a bow behind and lace sleeves having a gorgeous but small train.”

“My bridesmaids all chose their very own Royal blue bridesmaid dresses. It was vital to me that everybody felt comfortable around the day and wore something which they didn’t feel awkward in. The bridesmaids were all over, with Meg even flying in from Australia, so joint shopping trips would have been tricky as you would expect. The bridesmaids contain my twin sister, the eldest sister, and 2 best friends.”

“They all bought and chose their very own shoes. They were given a short of silver and sparkly plus they all chose something to match their outfits and personal styles.”

“Andy and I met at the office. I had only been in the company for some weeks, we chatted briefly and shared a cheeky not-so-secret kiss at the office Christmas party (cringe!). It was repaid though and we’ve been together since. We got engaged in Bristol. It’s somewhere we’ve been considering relocating to and that we went for some time weekend trip to scope the area and explore.”

“After the ceremony, Andy and I were driven towards the reception inside a beautiful VW named Seren, hired from. We were built with a champagne bucket waiting for all of us which would be a lovely touch! They were very obliging with sticking around to consider lots of photos using the giant balloons.”

“We chose Banbury because of the location to get married because it’s between each of our parent’s homes and not far they are driving from us in Muswell Hill in North London. We knew we wanted a farm venue and also the reception venue was the very first thing we looked for. We were Googling within the car around the way back from your engagement trip when we saw the website for that venue. We visited visit on a freezing cold day in October in the rain and mud but still loved it and saw the possibility there. It was the only real place we visited or checked out.”

After finding the work of photographer Kevin Potter from among Harriet’s friend’s weddings, the pair knew they couldn’t have gone with every other photographer for their very own day and signed him up as soon because they found out he’d availability on their date for the wedding.

“He commanded the guests for that group confetti shots so well, efficiently with great humor. We are extremely pleased using the photos – it had been such a hard decision picking the ones for that album and also to frame as there are extremely many we like. We look through them on the regular basis and pick new favorites all of the time. He’s really captured the spirit in our day.”

“There were a lot of amazing moments around the day, it’s so difficult to pick my favorite. Getting ready using the girls in the morning was a lot of fun, it had been lovely being encompassed by some of my favorite people. My mum helping me with my dress was very special too, and my father saw me in the dress for the very first time. I think my ultimate highlight was walking into the town hall and seeing everyone and Andy at the top of the aisle using the biggest grin on his face.”

“Andy says his favorite bit from the day was two moments. Firstly, and many clichéd, was turning around and seeing me for the very first time as I came down the aisle. His second favorite moment was leaving the city hall within the VW therefore we could take a minute just the two people and think about what had just happened.”

Words of Wedded Wisdom

“I think it’s important to sit down together with your other half and consider what is important towards the two of you. Then you can tailor your entire day around your requirements and never end up with something which doesn’t reflect you. Your wedding day is all about you like a couple and never anyone else. Also, if individuals are offering to assist, definitely drive them up around the offer! It’s a stressful time planning for a wedding and also you can’t do it all yourself.”
