A Family BBQ-Inspired Wedding

Today’s wedding is an effortlessly stress-free and relaxed day, having a beautiful ceremony inside a timber-lined barn, along with a focus on fun and games, good food, music, and family. Special needs teacher and Rob, a grownup support worker Elisha celebrated their marriage around the 26 May 2018 in the brilliant

“We wanted a chilled place, lots of space we’re able to design ourselves, and an area for camping!… We were built with a discussion with one another about what both of us wanted and we decided we wanted our day to be just like a huge family barbecue! Chilled food and drinks, great music, games, kids, and camping were key.”

Elisha finds the boho wedding dress, which uses delicate and fine lace and tulle, and also the cross-back combined to produce a perfect boho look. I loved bohemian vibes.

Elisha was accompanied on the aisle by her dad towards the brilliant song How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by Julia Stone – a popular driving song from the couple throughout their travels together.

“We met in Freshers Week within our first week at uni! Both of us dressed up in army gear and following a very drunken night in Tiger Tiger, here I am! Rob jokes that after he awoke the next morning, his phone was on charge, he was built with a glass of water and every one of his stuff was neatly piled around the desk. He says this is where he knew I was a keeper!”

“We got engaged at the bottom of Mount Cook in New Zealand. Rob has been carrying around the ring on our travels awaiting the best spot; he chose it perfectly! We returned from traveling a couple of months after and virtually started planning and saving for around 2 years.”

The bridesmaids wore softly pleated bridesmaid dresses with floral embroidered tops, along with shoes, earrings wild, and wonderful flower crowns. The couple’s sweet flower girl also wore a flower crown having a pretty dress, as well as their pageboy a good suit, also from Next.

There was live entertainment, and later in the evening, Elisha and Rob enjoyed an initial dance together to John Legend’s Stay With Me, before it launched right into a brass version of Beyonce’s Crazy In Love.

There were more enjoyable games, too, with plenty of outdoor fun in the evening sunshine, including a truly amazing bouncy castle. Post-midnight fire pits were lit and also the party continued into the night.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

“I know everyone says the same thing but just take it all in as it goes by so quickly! Don’t stress out about attempting to please people, this is the only amount of time in your life when you can be well and truly selfish also it’s great to make it perfect for you!”
