A Traditional Pastel Pretty Spring Wedding Day

Hannah, a residential area nurse, and Dan, a project manager, chose 28th April 2018 to become married at their local parish church of St Edwards King and Confessor Catholic Church in Clifford Wetherby, North Yorkshire.

“My wedding gown reflected my usual style. As soon as I place the dress on, I knew it had been the one for me. It was plain however it had pockets. It was high at the front however it had an exposed back. I wasn’t just comfortable, I felt millions of dollars! I felt I was channeling the modern-day Audrey Hepburn however with an extra princess feel.”

“Dan and I first met through mutual friends in 2011. From the get-go which was it for all of us. We then got engaged in July 2016. We just decided together that people wanted to get married, so rather than a surprise proposal, we chose to buy my Tiffany & Co. diamond engagement ring (one which I’d always imagined!) whilst I was on holiday at Disneyworld Orlando Florida. Dan got recorded on one knee whilst I was at home privately.”

The groom looked classically handsome in a set of black dinner trousers and navy colored tuxedo jacket with an ivory bow tie. The groomsmen followed suit in navy tuxedos with black bow ties as requested by the bride. Hannah’s bridesmaids wore another mismatched dress each, with the same dusky blush bridesmaid dresses.

The bride walked down the aisle alongside her dad to some violin cover of A Thousand Years played by. The parish Priest Father Newman then officiated the marriage using the traditional wedding vows.

My favorite part of our day was only agreeing to be seeing every person we like all in one room – we spent all day long either dancing or laughing! At 3.30 pm, I and my bridesmaids were dancing with these flowers in the entrance hallway to the violinist playing Calvin Harris and Rihanna We Found Love.

“This would be a special moment between my close friends and me. Some very special and true emotions and all sorts of very reflective people as friends. I don’t think you will get much better than that! It was just how I wanted it to become.”

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

“If anything goes completely wrong, you’re the only person who will learn about it. It’s very easy to feel stressed the week before the wedding and prior. I really would advise prior planning and organization, therefore, the run-up is exciting sometimes and not stressful while there is a lot to do in those final months before the special day.”

“Remember to consider 10 minutes to appear around together with your husband at that which you have created. You spend a lot of time planning your day also it’s over in a flash. Remember the reason why you chose to marry and enjoy every minute with your friends and family. Just have fun! Weddings are a celebration.”
