A Colourful Devon Countryside Wedding

Meet Clinical Psychologist Jenna, who married plumber Ben in the gorgeous Estate in North Devon, around the 9th of June 2018. The couple met on the night out in Stoke Newington in 2012 and, even though it wasn’t love in the beginning sight, romance blossomed throughout a trip to Budapest for New Year. The rest is history.

“We loved having Lisa photograph us- it had been like having a buddy do it. She also did an incredible engagement aim for us. We weren’t sure relating to this, but it had been really helpful for your day.”

Jenna wore a fitted lace gown, having a beautiful plunging back, which she purchased in Halesowen together with her long narrow veil.

“I’ve never really liked bridal dresses in magazines but decided to go for a fun day trip with my Mum and sister not looking to find anything. The dress became the second dress I tried on and it had been the only dress that I said ‘wow’ to. It was my style and also the one off the hanger fitted.”

“The ivory flower girl dresses were all from Stacees and they looked so cute. We had them carry huge balloons which put into the cuteness.”

“I loved our ceremony. We were built with a humanist wedding and were built with a lot of input and it had been so personal that people just loved it.”

Tables were named after favorite restaurants from around the world and also the table plan is made up of each restaurant’s logo. Ben and Jenna then wrote restaurant reviews for every table- I love this idea!

“Food was vital for me because I am a massive foodie therefore we used a local catering service, which basically might have made whatever we wanted. We chose Spanish-inspired sharing food for starter and main and big sharing pavlovas for pudding.”

“On your day make sure you are kept from the stressful bits. Make sure your bridesmaids feed you food and water (you forget otherwise).”

“Things go wrong so don’t ruin the lead-up or your day by worrying about things. It doesn’t matter when they do and many people won’t notice.”
